There's something about Mary (pun intended;-)

Her exalted person and importance for Salvation why bother at all about saints in general and Mary in particular? Jesus as the second person of the Trinity has made the perfect sacrifice for us and simply accepting our Salvation should be enough, right? Yes, in principle it is. But God loves us so much that he wanted to involve us in his Redemption work (as St Paul said: "so that we may add what is missing to the offer of Christ" cf . Col 1:24 and what Isaiah (7:14) wrote on what it's about: "the Lord will give you a sign: behold the Virgin will conceive and bare a son, and his name will be Emmanuel, 'God with us' ) in order that we better understand what it entails, we can open us up more to it and can deeper enter in our Redemption (to participate in an act of love is to get closer to the God who is Love) until we finally are 'drenched' with mercy.
